Catch Report: Paul Moreton

Promo member Paul was out for a session with fellow promo member Simon. Here is Paul's report.
I had a 24hr session with other promo team member Simon Moody down our local swamp. We arrived Saturday morning around half 9 after setting everything up we had our rod's in by half 10 and settled in. We both had our own plans in place with me feeding the 14mm halibut pellets Which had been covered in the liver hydro shot liquid and the liver powder over a couple of months. I started off with a Tutti+ Wafter on a stiff boom multi rig on my left rod fished close to my inside bank and a white monster crab pop up on the same rig on my right rod fished over towards the opposite bank where the Reed's had begun to grow back. Had plenty of indications throughout the day but no proper runs so I then switched my left rod over to the green 2 tone hemp and vanilla pop ups which were a limited edition from the other year size 14mm ready for the night. The first bite came just before around 10pm which resulted in a nice bream roughly weighing around the 5Lb mark. I then reset my rod back to where i been fishing close to my inside bank. At around 3am my left hand rod had wot can only b described as a very strange bite as i came out of my bivvy the wind was blowing a gale and the heavens had opened i hooked into a fish which when it came to the service was something I'd never had expected a pike in the region of around the 8Lb mark. I then reset my left rod again with the 2tone green hemp and vanilla pop up as that was doing the business in the same place and was then awakened just before 6am with a savage bite again on my left hand rod resulting in the 17Lb 1oz mirror shown in the picture which Simon had previously caught 2 weeks earlier at 16Lb 9oz. I had nothing again throughout the Sunday but had a fantastic weekend fishing with Simon with fantastic food and nothing but laughter for the full 24hr session
