Catch Report: Simon Pierson

Promo member Simon had a recent session at Todber, here is what he had to say.
First Carp of 2022 x 2
Going out in Windy Freezing conditions can be rewarding.
Heading back down to the Todber manor complex I set out to catch from a different Swim on Big Hayes again after the success I had on my previous trip.
Opted for mid water as most swims were filled and my only other option was to fish the same monk swim but didn’t fancy that.
Did spend a bit of time in both swims but wasn’t any shows that I could see.
Had a little search using a deeper pro and located a couple of deeper spots. As no sign of fish.
Same tactics have paid off as both fish fell to the German Rig a sweetcorn Wafter fished over a bed of sweetcorn & hemp. Alpha boilies and Boilie crumb and a healthy coating of matching slime & pixie dust.
The others two rods I had the trusty old Strawberg topping the Alpha and then a couple Jaffa original sweetcorn toppers but didn’t swing the carp round this time. The right hand rod was the one and sort of thought that would be the case as the chap on the other side further down was having a good bit of action while the carp held up in his swim. Shame I couldn’t get any closer to the fish but a enjoyable weekend. Catching two beautiful fish and making memories 🎣❤️ #WGOTSOT
